We are now here in China. YEAH!!! We left Newark Saturday afternoon and reached LA in the evening. We then took a midnight flight into Guangzhou. I (Laurie) slept 3 hour on the plane. Then I had a 7.5 hours wait for breakfast. We reached China on Monday morning. It was a long night, but we survived. The only negative is that I left my cell phone on the plane. Oh well.

We reached the hotel this morning and went out for Dim Sum. We did a quick tour of the city via bus. Then we met a friend & his family for coffee (at Starbucks) who lives in Guangzhou. Sandeep has a cousin here and he will meet her tonight as well. I will try to get too bed early for our BIG DAY tomorrow.

Tomorrow we head for Nanning at 7:45 am. The flight is about an hour. Then we wait for the babies. They will arrive at the Civil Affairs office at 4:30. This is very late and we were told that the babies will be VERY tired. They have a long ride from the orphanage, so we expect that Angelina and the other babies may be sleeping, crying, scared or all of the above.

We cannot believe that the day is finally here. I don't know how we will sleep tonight. Just pray that we get some rest. Tomorrow will be Gotcha day October 10th. We are scared and excited!!
