Last night we met our friends Tom & Karen and their 3 sons at Starbucks. It was great and they were thrilled to see Westerners. We went to bed very early (8:00). This morning we heard that some other families were in bed by 5:00. And I thought we slept early.

We flew into Nanning this morning. Only a one hour flight. Not too bad. It's hot and humid here, but very bareable. But there is NO Starbucks. We have to ask around though. Maybe there is one hidden some where.

The country looks very pretty. Lots of people, bikes and motorcycles here. We will see much more towards the end of the week.

We just got back from filling out some paperwork. The bus is picking us up at 4:30. We head over to another hotel to pick up the babies!! There are 14 families in our group and 16 babies (2 sets twins) getting children from Guiping City Social Welfare Office.

We had to pack a diaper bag. It was histerical. Sandeep asked me what to pack. What do I know?? :) It was fun. A memerable first. At least we won't be out very long, so if we forgot something, it shouldn't be a problem. We hang out a few minutes after we get the babies and then we all get back on the bus to come back to our hotel. The facilitator doesn't want us out long in case the babies start crying. He said once one cries, then they ALL cry.

We are leaving in 10 minutes. We are getting nervous. But here goes :)
